I thought I would just give you a little update on the wedding planning! We had a bit of a lull for a while where I would wake up in a panic during the night thinking we would never get it done but now things are moving along nicely.

So far we have booked our wedding ceremony and reception. The ceremony is taking place in a beautiful country house with massive gardens which I fell in love with. The reception is in a big barn which took my breath away the first time I saw it – it has big beams, little nooks and crannies, two levels so we can eat and dance in separate bits and it has a lovely courtyard bit.

We have sorted out our food – we are having a South African feast! Basically a big bbq with a hog roast which I can’t wait for. We are also having lots of wine and Kentish ale as Mike loves it.

I have my dress!!! It is completely different to what I had in mind but I just loved it as soon as I put it on – it is very vintage looking and made me feel amazing. I can’t say too much as Mike reads this but I can’t wait to wear it. All of my normal clothes seem boring now though! Bridesmaid dresses proved a bit trickier as I have four beautiful girls with different shapes – I have finally decided on a Vera Wang esque tulle delight which is perfection. It is very 50s and I love it. I think all the girls will look stunning in it!

We are having our wedding invitations made so they should be sorted soon and we are hiring a photobooth as I think they are amazing! It is doubling up as our guestbook as we are going for the double print out where guests keep one and the other goes into a leather book where they can write messages.

Our photographer is all booked – the AMAZING weddingsvintage are doing them which is a dream come true as I ADORE their photography.

Our flowers are sorted – we are having tulips and peach, pink and white roses. We are going for a very relaxed, village fete type affair with lots of bunting, fairy lights, tea cups and vintage crockery. I am so excited!
